These two teams are miles apart in terms of talent but if form is anything to go by then David could topple Goliath here. Arsenal suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat to North London rivals Tottenham on Sunday while Dundalk were celebrating a 4-2 extra-time win over Shamrock Rovers in the FAI Cup Final. Ironically, Dundalk will be hosting this game from the home of the Rovers at Tallaght Stadium but they have lost each of their last three matches when playing as the home team. The Lilywhites are winless in five at home and have lost all five of their group games so far. Dundalk were beaten 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium when these teams met in the reverse fixture back on matchday two. Rapid Vienna won 3-1 at the Aviva Stadium while Molde were victorious on their trip to Tallaght by claiming all three points in a 2-1 win over Dundalk.
Arsenal is undoubtedly a step up again but their form is miserable. The Gunners are winless in four in the Premier League and are currently 15th in the table but they have won all five of their group matches so far in the Europa League so this competition has become a welcome reprieve for Mikel Arteta’s side. Arteta could be in trouble but getting his side into the knockout stages would have been a key target at the start of the season and they have advanced with relative ease. Arsenal have scored 16 times so far in the Europa League whilst conceding only three.
