Belgium v France Betting Tips [14 October 2024]

Belgium are looking to prop themselves higher in League A of the Nations League when they play host to France. The Red Devils arrive for the game placed third while Les Bleus are second. We have the prediction for this match. 

Match Day 3 served a disappointing outing for Belgium but they will be happy to have avoided defeat. Domenico Tedesco’s men recovered after conceding two early goals, to draw 2-2 with Italy on Thursday. 

For the fourth straight game they failed to keep a clean sheet and they’ve now conceded four times in the last two matches. Belgium are also losing their attacking punch, having failed to score in three of five matches. 

They’ll need to recover as soon as possible, given this is a fixture they’ve struggled in. 

France did themselves a favor in the last game, beating Israel 4-1 away from home. That was a boost given Belgium held Italy to slow the group leaders. 

The French will hope to back it up with another win against Belgium and fully take advantage of Italy’s slip. Didier Deschamps’ team has four straight wins against Belgium.  

The most recent of those was a 2-0 success at home in September, rising from their opening defeat to Italy. 

Though in recent times they’ve struggled in this competition, France have generally done well in the Nations League. They have 12 wins in the last 21 matches in the competition and only lost five times. 

France have regained their momentum after a losing start to the season and they will be confident coming into this game. In their last two matches, they posted straight wins. That, added to their superior form against Belgium, places France as the favorites.

The hosts, currently in transition, have had a tough run in recent outings. They come here with just a win in five matches and this will be another tough outing. Our prediction for Belgium v France is for France to win.
