Chelsea have continued to spend hundreds of millons of pounds but are still struggling. They are 12th in the Premier League and that's four places above their opponents Bournemouth. After just four games of the season, Chelsea are already eight points off the top of the table. Only three points separate them from the relegation zone. Just four points have been earned by them this season and three of those came from a home win over 19th placed Luton Town. In their most recent game before the international break they lost 1-0 at home to Nottingham Forest. That was their second league loss of the season after previously being beaten 3-1 away at West Ham United. Three of their five league and cup matches this season have seen over 2.5 goals scored in them. In terms of away league fixtures only one of their last five hasn't seen over 2.5 goals scored.
Bournemouth have struggled this season and are still waiting for their first league win. They have only two points and are one ahead of the bottom three. Two of the sides below them have a game in hand, so a relegation battle is looking likely. Their two points have come from draws at home to West Ham United and away at Brentford. Only a last gasp goal denied the Cherries their first league win of the season. They've scored four goals in the Premier League this season but have conceded eight. The only game they have won this season was a 3-2 win at Swansea City in the Carabao Cup. Three of their five matches this season have seen over 2.5 goals scored.
