Bournemouth v Chelsea Betting Tips [14 September 2024]

Bournemouth will hope to not have been slowed down by the international break after a dramatic win in their last game. The Cherries will be hosting Chelsea in their next Premier League match. Heading into this Saturday game, we have the prediction ready.

Before the start of the two-week break, Bournemouth thumped Everton 3-2 for their first win of the season. It wasn’t just the win but its nature that left heads spinning. Andoni Iraola’s side trailed 2-0 in the game at the 87th minute but managed to turn it around to bag three points.

It has been a positive start to their league campaign; the hosts come here unbeaten so far. Match Day 4 presents a different kind of challenge though, as they haven't beaten Chelsea in the last five meetings.

Chelsea have registered remarkable improvement in their matches coming after the opening 2-0 defeat to Manchester City. They scored in each of their four matches across all competitions that came after that loss, a total of 10 goals.

The Blues have, however, managed just one clean sheet in their five matches this season – against Servette in the Conference League. Both teams got to score in their last three matches.

Manager Enzo Maresca must have spent the international break working on a defensive formula to send out a mean side. In seven meetings with Bournemouth, Chelsea only managed two clean sheets. The goal conceded in their 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace was their fifth in three league matches this season.

These two sides have shown their attacking edge in their recent matches, which we feel will be on display again on Saturday. Bournemouth, with five goals in three league games, will not be slowed, having the in-form Antoine Semenyo and Luis Sinisterra. 

Perhaps they should only worry about their back line. The same applies to Chelsea, whose three league matches haven't returned a clean sheet. The Blues, however, will bank on Nicholas Jackson and Noni Madueke, who scored five goals combined in the last two matches.
