Colombia have reached the last two World Cup finals but may well not go to Qatar later this year. They are seventh in the South American qualfying group and host Bolivia who are a place and two points below them. Colombia are four points adrift of Peru in fifth and that position takes you into the inter-confederation play-offs. It's five points to the final automatic qualifying place and Colombia only have two games to play. They need to beat Bolivia and then win at bottom-of-the-table Venezuela to have any chance of progressing. Colombia have only been beaten by Uruguay and Peru at home in this group. They managed to draw with the top three teams in the group; Brazil, Argentina and Ecuador. Three of their last four home group games have been against sides in the top five, hence the lack of goals. This is a much better chance to get some goals and points.
Bolivia also need to win their last two qualifiers to have any chance of qualifying. It's not looking likely though as after this match their final game is Brazil at home. Bolivia have won four games in this World Cup qualifying group and all of them came on home soil. On their travels, Bolivia have only earned two points from eight games, even losing 4-1 to Venezuela. 25 goals have been conceded in their eight away matches. Back Colombia to get a vital win and to lead at both half and full time.
