Inter host Venezia on Matchday twenty-two of the Serie A at the iconic San Siro. The hosts are at the top of the league standings with fifty points from their first twenty-one games while the visitors have just eighteen points from their first twenty-one fixtures and find themselves at the seventeenth place, two points above the relegation zone. Inter have been on a terrific run of form and come into the game with a 3-2 win at home over Empoli in Serie A. They are unbeaten for seven straight fixtures now with six wins and a draw and look on course for a historic Serie A title by the end of the season under the tutelage of Simone Inzaghi.
Venezia have been struggling to get enough wins on the board recently after a decent start to the season which has rendered them in potential danger of relegation by the end of the season. They come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Empoli as well. The Empoli draw means that Venezia are without a win in their last five fixtures and also have won just once in their last ten matches across all competitions. Venezia also do not have a decent head to head record against Inter, as they have never beaten the latter in any of the meetings so far. Venezia would need an inspirational display to outperform a much stronger Inter side, which at the moment seems highly unlikely.
Inter have been consistently picking up wins throughout their league campaign and the same is expected to continue against a significantly inconsistent side in Venezia. We are backing Inter to lead at both half time and full time.
