Senegal could win this final Group B match and still not win the group. They are second behind Gunea and take on Malawi in their final group match. Senegal lost in the 2019 AFCON final but haven't set the world alight so far in this tournament. Their opening game saw them have to wait until the 97th minute before Sadio Mane scored from the penalty spot to give them a 1-0 win over Zimbabwe.. That was followed by a goalless draw with Guinea. They are ranked 20th in the world, 109 places higher than their opponents. However, Zimbabwe are 121st and so nearly got a point against Senegal. Over 90 minutes, Senegal are unbeaten in their last 13 games, last losing to Namibia in July of last year. They have kept three straight clean sheets and should be able to get the win here. It might not win them the group though if Guinea can defeat Zimbabwe.
Malawi are third in the group, a point behind Senegal. They are looking good to claim one of the four places for the best third placed sides. Their group campaign began with a 1-0 loss to Guinea but they then came from behind to beat Zimbabwe 2-1. Both of their goals were scored by Gabadinho Mhango, who plays for Orlando Pirates in South Africa. That makes it three goals in three games, after going two years without scoring an international goal. Only three of their last 14 games have been won but with Senegal struggling for goals, they have a chance here. Senegal have far more experience though and should ensure they get a win,
