After a dismal showing at Euro 2020, not much was expected of Turkey coming to Germany. However, here they are with a chance to advance to the last four. Their path hasn’t been smooth, and especially the 3-0 loss to Portugal exposed their defensive frailties. Three wins in four matches will however give them hope against this tough Netherlands side. Coming here with just one clean sheet in 10 matches doesn’t paint Turkey in the best way. Four times in those 10 matches, they conceded more than a goal. While they have two wins in their last three meetings with the Netherlands, Turkey will recall the 6-1 thumping they received when they last met the Dutch. The one positive Turkey will be banking on here is their attack; they scored seven times in their first four matches here.

Turkey have done well in attack at this competition; however, they are seriously struggling defensively. It shows in the fact they conceded six times already and the Dutch will want to take advantage of this. The Netherlands will however be worried about their own defensive woes, as they face this attacking Turkey side. These factors have seen the two nations’ matches return high scores and we expect the same here though the Dutch remain the favorites.
