The pressure is on Peru to win this game and qualify for the Inter-Confederation Play-offs. They host Paraguay (already eliminated) in their final World Cup group game and are a point clear of Colombia and two above Chile. Five of their previous six qualifiers had been lost and that's why they are missing their third consecutive World Cup finals. Away form in this group has seen Paraguay earn just three points and four of the last five have been lost. Even worse is the fact that they have failed to score in their last six away World Cup qualifiers. They don't have anything to play for and this looks an ideal way for Peru to clinch fifth place.
